The fuzz of the Raffi yarn from Taisho Spinning Co., Ltd., which creates a unique vintage feel with its natural irregularities, has been minimized to prevent the fabric from sticking together.
Raffi is made by reusing the cotton shaved off during the production process of what is known as “cotton waste yarn.” It contains many short fibers, which naturally create irregularities in the yarn.
This material is knitted using VORTEX yarn, created through a new spinning method unlike conventional methods, and finished with a smooth texture.
Features of VORTEX yarn include: low fuzz, reduced pilling, clean prints, durability in washing, and high moisture absorption and diffusion due to its ability to absorb water easily.
Furthermore, to enhance the nuanced colors and fabric texture, the white color is garment-washed, while other colors are garment-dyed with a reactive dye.
