・col.04 Ivory: Bamboo Dye
Bamboo is associated with honesty and clarity, as expressed in the Japanese phrase “as clear as bamboo.”
This familiar plant grows exceptionally fast, and its boundless fertility has made it a symbol of growth and prosperity, commonly used for New Year decorations and lucky charms.
Because of its vigorous growth, bamboo is regularly harvested to keep it in check. This collection uses bamboo harvested for growth control as a dyeing agent.
The pure white of bamboo is revealed when split. The dyeing process captures this white, infused with a hue that evokes vitality and integrity.

One of humanity’s oldest gemstones, cherished alongside emeralds and turquoise.
It was the first stone recognized worldwide as a power stone and is said to ward off evil spirits and misfortune.
Its color is described in many ways, including “indigo blue,” the dark, profound “midnight blue,” and the ocean-like “marine blue,” but perhaps the most accurate description is “a deep blue reminiscent of the mystical night sky.”
To achieve this distinctive shade of blue, the lapis lazuli is finely crushed to 0.5 μm, creating a beautiful, even dye.

Tea was brought to Japan from China by envoys and gradually developed into Japan’s unique tea culture.
Today, matcha is popular not only in Japan but around the world.
Its popularity is partly due to the rise of Japanese cuisine and health consciousness, but also its distinctive color and visual appeal.
Green, the color of matcha, has a calming effect, which may be why it resonates so deeply with people.
We present a fusion of this soothing color and the relaxed mood created by pas de calais.

Due to the nature of the dyeing process, color may transfer through rain, perspiration, or friction. Please also note that color may transfer when worn with light-colored items.
